The SC Profi range includes models far tubes of internal diameter from 13 mm to 215 mm.

The SC Prof! gas cylinder is a complete unit consisting only of two triple-sealing lip elements, ( temperature-resistant up to 340°C moximum for one hour ), and a connecting axis which can be either flexible, rigid or with a spring.

Integrated into one of the sealing lips is a disc-shaped gas diffuser from which there is a laminar flaw of gas in the axial direction of the tube and filling the complete tube diameter. By piston action the air, ( oxygen), volume between the two sealing lip elements is pushed trough ventilation hales located in the opposite sealing element.

This particular design and the procedure described guarantee not only an extremely short purg in time of a maximum 1.5 minutes, ( 4 minutes with type 220 and 231 ), but also a constant gas flow with equal distribution over the complete weld seam root area. Apart from the considerable cast saving due to the short purging time required, the fact that several tube dimensions can be covered with one gas cylinder diameter also contributes to a high degree of economic efficiency.

The triple-sealing lip elements guarantee a tight seal regardless of the welding position even in tube bends, at tube ends, at flange connections. The design also prevents the tube cylinder from tilting, falling aver or moving out of line.

SC Profi Single models can be used for tubes of internal diameter from 13 mm to 43 mm. An SC Profi Single consists of one doubleor triple-sealing lip and a sintered metal gasfinger diffuser available in various lengths, ( 12 - 25 - 50 mm ). With an SC Profi Single it is possible to weld with an open tube end, when the seam is within 300 mm of the end of the tube.
