DESCRIPTION
The Polycar is a water cooled pipe welding head equipped with automatic voltage control, oscillation and integral wire feeder. This welding head has a range of 4" and larger pipe sizes as well as linear welding applications. It is easily located on a premounted guide ring made for each specific pipe size. The POLYCAR weld head comes complete with a 25 foot connection cable with quick disconnect fittings, ( guide rings ordered separately ).

POLYCAR "HOTWIRE GTAW" The Hot Wire GTAW version of the Polycar weld head has the same basic specifications as the cold wire Polycar with the exception of the hot wire contact tube and wire feed mounting assembly. Hot wire GTAW is capable of deposition rates up to three times that of cold wire GTAW.

• Powered "X-Y" torch slide for either AVC height regulation of preset electrode / workpiece distance and cross-seam oscillation of the torch.
• Integral wire feeder with straightening device; speed accuracy by close-loop control.
• Water-cooled torch fitted with gas lens for laminar gas flow and a three dimensional adjustable wire guide nozzle for accurate filler wire position.
• Supplied with a 25 feet, ( 9 m ), torch assembly with quick disconnect fitting to facilitate connection to a POLYSOUDE power source.
• Dual wire feed capability.
